    _Waziri umaru federal polytechnic birnin kebbi, kebbi state._

    Its indeed a pleasure and honour to finally welcome all students back to campus after several months of closure by  the Federal Government to curb the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

    The Management of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, having considered the guidelines by Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) for safe re-opening have announced Monday 12th October, 2020 as resumption date for academic activities with strict adherance to the Covid-19 protocols by all staff and students.

    In line with this, Fumigation and Decontamination of Class Rooms, Offices, Hostels and the entire Campus Environment have commenced today being Thursday, 8th October, 2020. All student Returning to hostels are therefore advised to Stay off or rather Start returning to the hostels by Saturday 10th October, 2020.

    Based on the Covid-19 Protocols, Students are advised to take note and abide by the following:

    USE OF FACE MASK: The use of Face Mask/ Face Shield, is Mandatory to all Staff and Students before gaining entrance into the school premises as the NO FACE MASK NO ENTRY: Law shall be Imposed. In line with this the Student Union Government (SUG) will provide each registered student with a washable customized Face Mask to ensure compliance.

    TEMPERATURE CHECK: Temperature of both staff and students are to be checked before entering the school premises, temperatures above 30 are not to be allowed into the school premises, same is applicable to students returning to hostels.

    HAND WASHING: Students are required to wash their hands with soap and running water or make use of Hand Sanitizers which will be made available by the school management before entering classrooms and other strategic places within the institution.

    AVOID CROWDED PLACES: Students are advised to avoid crowded places/gatherings, where possible and maintain a social distance of atleast two (2) meters.
