  • Federal Polytechnic Resumption Feasible October 5th
  • Minister Of Education 



    It is no longer a News that the federal government through the federal ministry of education direct the immediate preparation for resumption of academic activities in all schools. 
     

    The National Board For Technical Education  said that its officials and that of the federal ministry of education(FME) will be on inspection and verification Visits to the school to check their level of readiness and compliance to Covid19 protocols to safeguard learners, teachers and Other educational personnel of the institution when the school reopens.

    NAIJA POLY TV gathered that federal polytechnics Will now resume any moment from October 5th after NBTE and FME officials inspections, verification and approval to reopen.

    No school would reopen without the federal ministry of Education and NBTE approval.

    Meanwhile the Federal polytechnic Ilaro has on Wednesday been approved for resumption of second semester 2019/2020 after meeting up with the conditions for safe reopening of schools setup by the federal government.


    Poly TV learnt Federal government has  also given approval to NUC to reopen varsities in which some  have  already announced date for reopening while others are still waiting for approval.

    OCTOBER 5TH RESUMPTION 

    Poly TV observed Students are Confused Whether it is all federal polytechnics in Nigeria that would resume on Monday October 5th, 2020, No! Resumption of academic activities is expected to be announced by the school management after being cleared by federal ministry of education and National board for Technical Education.

    However it should be noted that  resumption of federal polytechnics is feasible as from  October 5th therefore students should be patient and wait for memorandum and Resumption circular from the school management.

    INDUSTRIAL STRIKE 

    The ongoing Strike embarked by the Academic staffs union of University(ASUU) does not affect the resumption of academic activities in polytechnics. The president of the union vowed to continue the strike untill their demand is met by the federal government.

    While reacting to Rivers State University  Resumption memo, ASUU president, Professor Abiodun cautioned lecturers in the university not to resume else would be sanctioned for Anti-Union Activities.


    UNITY SCHOOL

    The federal government on Wednesday have also direct the resumption of primary and secondary school pupils to return to School on October 11th to continue the 2019/2020 term.
