     ACADEMIC MATTERS: RESUMPTION, MATRICULATION AND EXAMINATION

    The Academic Board of the Polytechnic met today 6th October, 2020 and approved a Phased Resumption for all students to round up the First Semester 2019/2020 disrupted by COVID 19 Pandemic. 


    A circular on the resumption of students to participate in the First Semester 2019/2020 Examination before month end will be issued latest by Friday, 9th October, 2020. Details of Examination timetable will follow. 


    In line with Presidential and Inter-Ministerial Directives, Polytechnic Management shall ensure strict enforcement of COVID 19 Regulations for resumption of academic activities owing to the danger and threats of the pandemic and the peculiarities of our environment.
    Only students invited during the phased resumption of each School will be allowed to visit, enter or stay on campus for the examination period. Any student that disobeys the rule shall be dealt with according to the law for the breach of Matriculation Oath.  


    There shall be a Virtual Matriculation ceremony for Year 1 Students in ND/HND programmes by next week. All intending prospective students to be matriculated must pay their matriculation fees, collect matriculation gown, obtain online access for the ceremony, return the gown, sign matriculation register and receive matriculation number and ID Card at Liaison Office to be able to participate in the phased examination.


    Further information will be released in due course to guide all other students on dates of resumption.


    All classroom activities and examination will be conducted through spaced sitting arrangements and all staff and students must use facemask and sanitizers in all public places except when required for brief identification before entering examination halls.


    There shall be SOCIAL DISTANCING - HANDSHAKE & NO HUGGING BAN ON CAMPUS. 


    Wishing you all safe preparation and phased return to Campus as indicated in the forthcoming circular.
    Once again, only students invited from each school must come to campus for examination and to stay in the hostel. Defaulters will be severely reprimanded.
    Adequate information will be passed through the Ag. Dean (Students) and all Academic HODs.
    Please adhere strictly to the rules and regulations.
