  • UNDERSTAND, COOPERATE, AND WORK WITH US. SUG TO BORI LANDLORDS.

  • The SUG President of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori Comr. Nwikpo Sorle Radduff has called on Bori landlords to consider the effects of COVID-19 pandemic on Students of the Polytechnic when he visited the Chairman of khana local government Council, Eld. Lahteh Lah Loolo on how best they can dialogue with the landlords for the betterment of the students last weekend.

It will be recall that the off-campus students of the Polytechnic over the weekend complained that their rent was paid for the period of one academic section and the section is not over but Bori Landlords and Landladies are demanding for renewal of rent from now to December or evacuate.

Perhaps, parents of our students and students who train themselves in our school are finding it extremely hard to pay these inflated house rents. Therefore, the Students leaders of the Polytechnic led by Comr. Nwikpo Sorle Radduff humbly beseech the khana local government Boss to intervene and call the Landlords of off-campus Lodges to reduce their House rents for the welfare of the students.

"Owing to this worrisome issues, we are here to discuss, reach a compromise and possibly proffer a lasting solution to the predicament that our students have undeservedly found themselves. As a matter of fact, it is no news that the economic instability of our great country has made survival difficult for most students. Due to that, some students are not financially buoyant to renew their rent".

Nevertheless, Comr. Nwikpo also appeal that the Landlords should always scrutinize persons they Admit in their Hostels as students properly. Some miscreants and scoundrels who parade themselves as students are not students. They go about committing crimes in the guise of our students and it is detrimental to the school and it Community. He added.

In another development, the students Union president invite Khana local government Boss and all meaning individuals to an extraordinary programme    tag; "Becoming a student with a difference", and lunching of a book and almanag on the 10th of December,2020.

In his part, the chairman of khana local government council, Eld. Lahteh Lah Loolo thanks the SUG President for his remarkable vision and courage to drive home success.
