  • SUG EXECUTIVE PAYS FAMILIARITY VISIT TO HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS



  • The Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Students' Union Government (SUG) Executive today paid a familiarity visit to the Heads, Department of Science Laboratory Technology, the Department of Estate Management and the Department of Computer Science, respectively. 

    The high powered delegation which was led by the Students' Union Government (SUG) President, Comr. Emmanuel Udonkwo was accompanied by his entire executive members as well as his entourage.

    The Students' Boss, Comr. Udonkwo expressed profound gratitude to the Heads of Departments on their efforts toward the academic development of the school especially in their Departments and their enormous supports to the current leadership of the SUG.

    Udonkwo acknowledged the open door policy of the HODs by accepting to host them even in their busy schedule.

    Addressing the Students' Reps, the HOD of Science Laboratory Technology, Dr. Dominic Uboh charged the Students' representatives to be humble and cooperate with one another for there is life after school.

    Dr. Uboh equally advised the SUG cabinet to pay maximum attention to their studies more than any other activity as their certificate remains the centre of everything at the end.

    Also speaking, the HOD, Department of Estate Management, ESV, (Rev) UbonAbasi Usoro while addressing the SUG executive applauded and congratulated the Students' leaders on their successful emergence after the long awaited SUG election in the school.

    The clergyman siezed the opportunity to shed more light on the need for Students who belongs to secret cult to scorn it for it do not pay well at the long run.

    The HOD further enjoined the union to be devoid of any conflict that may arise between the management, executive members and even the opponents who were not successful in the just concluded SUG election.

    Mr. Idorenyin Joseph the Head, Department of Computer Science who warmly received the excos was so resolute to his firm words of advice as he charged the students' leaders to live-out an exemplary lifestyle for they represent the Union image as well as the Polytechnic.

    He laid emphasis more on working in harmony with the school management. He added that any problem encountered in the course of the administration can be solved through dialogue.

    The Heads thanked the SUG president and his executive members for embarking on such familiarity tour to their offices while pledging their unalloyed support to the union and the students of the Polytechnic at large.
