ASUP STRIKE: Reopen Our Campuses Now Or Expect a Massive Protest – NAPS Issue Strong Warning to Benue Government, Assured Students of Victory
The Leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic students (NAPS) has said that there won’t be Primary Election in Benue state if the government refused to resolve issues with Striking lecturers of Benue state polytechnic Ugbokolo and Akperan Orshi Polytechnic among others.
Comrade Innocent Okoh, NAPS Senate President said this in a phone interview with POLYTV on Saturday.
He further said that victory is around the corner thereby advising students to exercise patience as they work behind close doors to see that the polytechnic resume for the continuation of academic activities.

He said, “We are seriously angry with the government of Benue state for refusing to resolve issues with the polytechnic lecturers and if the Government didn’t do the needful we use Makurdi street as our lecture hall.”
POLYTV learnt that State owned tertiary institutions in Benue state has been on strike for over three months now as the Union demand for their arrears salary to be paid.
